The landscape allows me to have figurative control but with abstract processes. Thus, the landscape has both fields that interest me in painting: the figurative and the abstract within a completely expressionist technique.

With these series of small format landscapes, I experiment with a single color palette that I select before starting each painting and stick to just that palette. I also let myself be carried away by experimentation with different materials such as black lava, glass burbles, resinous sand, etc, creating expressive landscapes, with different materials, surfaces, defined color palettes and within the abstract-figurative expressionism.
