Lourdes Navarro is a multidisciplinary artist from Bogotá, Colombia, living and working in Madrid, Spain.

Rooted in painting, her practice develops through experimentation with materials, processes and forms of representation, creating situations that move between the everyday and the imagined, the intimate and the symbolic. Her paintings bring together figurative and abstract approaches and explore themes such as leisure and rest, pleasure, landscape, the body, marginalization and invisibility. While painting constitutes the central language of her practice, Navarro does not adhere to a single medium or technique; depending on each project, her work expands into drawing, printmaking, sculpture, installation and other experimental processes. Matter, texture, accidents and transformation play an active role in the construction of meaning, allowing the material itself to introduce new possibilities and readings into the work.

Navarro holds a Master's degree in Research in Art and Creation from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and degrees in Fine Arts and Sociocultural Studies from Universidad de los Andes, Bogotá. Her artistic practice has been developed alongside residencies, research and collaborative projects in Colombia, China and Spain, including the Tao Hua Tan International Artistic Retreat and Residency in Anhui, China, and El Instante residency at El Parqueadero, Museo de Arte del Banco de la República, Bogotá.

Her work has been presented internationally in solo and group exhibitions and art fairs across Europe, Asia and Latin America. Recent exhibitions include Un punto particular en una particular forma de verlo at C arte C, Madrid (2026); Éclats D'invisible at The Muisca Gallery, Paris (2025); Unity in Diversity at Powerlong Museum, Shanghai (2025); Destined Duo Show at C Square Gallery, Taichung, Taiwan (2024); a solo presentation at Art Central Hong Kong (2024) and a solo show Dopamine Holiday at Winners Gallery, Beijing (2023).  Her work has also been presented at Art Amoy Art Fair in Xiamen and Ningbo Contemporary Art Fair in China.

Navarro has received artistic grants and awards from institutions including Idartes, the Goethe-Institut and University of los Andes, and her work and exhibitions have been featured in publications and art media in Colombia, China, Spain and France. Her work is held in private collections internationally.
